The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) concluded its 17th Annual National Conference in Abuja over the weekend, resolving to explore transformative strategies that would enable its members to survive the current unpredictable economic challenges.

NAPPS disclosed this in a communique issued yesterday in Abuja at the end of its Conference, with the theme, “Embracing Transformational Education: Pathways Amidst Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous (VUCA) Operating Environments and Circumstances”

The Conference, presided over by the National President, Hajia Samira Jibir (PhD), and attended by over 1,000 participants, addressed the challenges of volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) environments.

The communique signed by Jibir and Dr. Kayode Adeyemi, the  NAPPS National Secretary, noted that VUCA had been impacting education delivery, hence the need for them to explore transformative strategies.

The association appealed to the National Assembly members to ensure the speedy reception, consideration, and passage of the NAPPS bill.

It also pleaded for its assent by the President as a gift and service to the Nigerian children under the care and nurturing of NAPPS.

NAPPS has already initiated discussions with members of the National Assembly and plans to meet with the Education Committee Chairman to advocate for legislation that protects and enhances private schools’ services.

The legislation will, among other provisions, provide a framework for equitable incentives from the federal government to ensure that private institutions benefit just as public ones do.
