Fuji music icon, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as K1 D’Ultimate, is set to headline a major Nigeria Independence Day concert in London on October 1, 2026, in what organisers describe as a major celebration of Nigerian culture and entertainment in the United Kingdom.
The event, organised by Bola Olatise, through Alexes Promotions Ltd, will be held at the Meridian Grand, Advent Way, London, bringing together members of the Nigerian diaspora for an evening of music, entertainment and cultural celebration.
K1 D’Ultimate, one of Nigeria’s most celebrated Fuji musicians, will lead the entertainment lineup, with DJ Mind D Gap also scheduled to perform. Hosting duties will be handled by Abidemi Alaran and Toplotech Entertainment.
The concert is expected to provide a platform for Nigerians in the UK to celebrate the country’s Independence Day while connecting with contemporary Nigerian entertainment and culture.
Industry insiders said the decision to secure K1 D’Ultimate for the October 1 celebration underscored the growing profile of Alexes Promotions in taking Nigerian entertainment beyond the country’s shores.
They said the partnership also reflected the increasing demand for Nigerian music and cultural experiences among the country’s growing diaspora community.
According to the organisers, the event has a tiered ticketing structure covering standard admission and VVIP packages, while table bookings are also available through Alexes Promotions.
The concert is being positioned not merely as an entertainment event but as a platform for cultural connection, allowing Nigerians living in the United Kingdom to mark the country’s independence through music and shared experiences.
Speaking on the event, industry insiders said securing K1 D’Ultimate for the October 1 date demonstrated Alexes Promotions’ expanding capacity to connect Nigerian artistes with international audiences.
Beyond entertainment promotion, Olatise, who holds the traditional title of Iyalaje of Aramoko-Ekiti, has built a diversified business portfolio with interests spanning healthcare, education, real estate and agriculture.
Olatise began her professional career in healthcare before expanding into entrepreneurship and establishing businesses in the United Kingdom.
Her ventures in the UK include nursery schools, care homes and property firms, alongside Alexes Promotions, which has increasingly become associated with international entertainment events.
In Nigeria, she oversees the operations of Happygems Group of Companies, a conglomerate with interests in real estate, construction, oil and gas, agriculture and education.
Through her business ventures and philanthropic activities, Olatise has also been involved in employment creation and community development initiatives across Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
The October 1 concert is expected to further strengthen the entertainment profile of Alexes Promotions, with the appearance of K1 D’Ultimate providing the event with one of the biggest names in Nigerian Fuji music.
