Veteran Nollywood actress, Jumoke George, has received the sum of N5 million as a gift after she cried out to the general public for financial assistance.
The gift, which came from an anonymous individual was facilitated by a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Sunday Wale Adeniran, who posted the development on his Facebook timeline.
Recall that George on Tuesday in a video interview with her colleague, Biola Bayo shared her struggles with the public, stating that she has been homeless and unwell for six years.

In a post made on Tuesday, Adeniran, who shared the conversation he had with the veteran actress on WhatsApp, revealed that the sum of N4.5 million was initially sent to George because he had exceeded his daily transfer limit.
He wrote, “And she got a N5m donation.
“A friend, Adetunji Dolapo sent me Bolaji Amusan, President of Theatre Arts And Motion Pictures Practitioners Association Of Nigeria (TAMPAN) Mr LATIN’S contact inbox.
“And immediately I introduced myself and chatted him up, he forwarded Madam Jumoke George’s contact to me via WhatsApp.
“I called Madam Jumoke George and we spoke. I told her how much we love her that she should drop her account details, that she’ll get a few millions from a friend through me.
“And so in collaboration with Spear News, my brother and friend, the anonymous donor credited my account with the sum of N5,000,000 (five million naira only) to support Madam Jumoke George, the Nollywood actress who is in distress but I could only transfer N4,500,000 as my daily limit has been exceeded.
“She acknowledged the receipt in the voice note she dropped on Whatsapp.”
In another post he made on Wednesday, Adeniran confirmed that the balance of N500,000 had been sent to George.
“I have copied the donor. I have also copied Spear News. I am telling the public too that the balance of N500,000 that completes the N5,000,000 donation has been transferred to Madam Jumoke George, our Nollywood star who solicited support,” Adeniran stated.
