As part of activities marking the 2025 World Health Day, the National Association of Seadogs (NAS), Pyrates Confraternity, has extended a humanitarian hand to the family of quintuplets born to Mr. Joseph Ogagbe and his wife, Patience, in Warri, Delta State.

The intervention, spearheaded by the Aqua Kanata Deck (Southern Canada chapter), in collaboration with Rainbow Deck and NAS Area Mate 4, brought hope to the Ogagbe family, which has been struggling to provide for their newborns.

Three months later, the children, three boys and two girls appeared healthier and more vibrant thanks to the generosity of kind-hearted Nigerians.

Yet, the family continues to appeal for support, revealing that a single can of baby formula, which they require daily, costs as much as seven thousand naira.

In response to their plight, members of NAS presented the family with cartons of baby food, diapers, and a cash gift. In addition, the Association has facilitated the quintuplets’ and their parents’ enrolment in the Delta State Contributory Health Scheme, ensuring free access to healthcare for the next year.

Speaking during the presentation, NAS Area Mate 4, Abel Idiomor said the gesture aligns with this year’s World Health Day theme, “Happy Beginnings, Healthy Futures,” which focuses on maternal and child health as a cornerstone for building resilient families and sustainable communities.

“We saw the report on Delta Radio/TV News and were moved to act. Our visit today is not just about giving; it’s about showing solidarity, compassion and commitment to improving lives,” Idiomor stated, assuring the family of continued support from the group.

In an emotional response, Mr and Mrs Ogagbe expressed profound gratitude to the Association and prayed for God’s blessings upon its members.

They also called on the government, religious organizations and other well-meaning Nigerians to come to their aid through scholarships, job opportunities and sustainable support systems
