Big Brother Naija reality star, Josephine Otabor, aka Phyna, has lectured couples and intending couples on the importance of conducting DNA tests on their offspring.
In a post she made on her X account, the reality show winner noted that conducting a DNA test immediately after childbirth is significant.
She wrote, “I support DNA test over naming ceremony. It should be passed that it is compulsory. Immediately after birth, a DNA test should be carried out.”
In the last few weeks, Nigerians on social media have been divided over whether DNA tests are necessary or not, given recent cases of paternity fraud.
Recall that music executive, Don Jazzy recently stated that DNA tests should be prioritised over naming ceremonies.
