Nollywood star Nonso Diobi has disclosed that he is still unmarried because he is struggling to separate his on-screen persona from real-life relationships.
The actor noted that his approach to romance changed due to his upbringing in the spotlight.
He said, “I grew up on TV and don’t know what it means to be a regular guy. I’ve tried to build relationships that would lead to marriage, but there was something I was doing wrong. I was seeing them through a script.”
Diobi, known for his roles in numerous Nollywood films, admitted that his immersion in the entertainment industry blurred the lines between scripted romance and genuine connections.
Despite his efforts to find a lifelong partner, he acknowledged that his tendency to approach relationships as if they were scenes from a movie hindered his prospects.
